Finance Co-Pilot

Salary - £25,000 - £32,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Location – Milton Keynes

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance department of Horsecare UK reporting into the Global Financial Controller. As the Finance Co-Pilot you will be responsible for financial business partnership across each function of the business unit.

The role is responsible for all period end activity including journal postings, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis. This role will be responsible for co-piloting demand and supply by providing insightful information and guidance, whilst monitoring and challenging costs.

Managing the company car fleet, mobile phones and healthcare and provide cover for payroll.

In this role you will:

·  Co-pilot Horsecare UK demand and supply with period cost reporting, providing advice to ensure sound financial and operational decisions as well as challenging spend to drive financial shape.
·  Support the financial shaping and forecasting process.
·  Responsible for understanding and monitoring all capital spend.
·  Responsible for general accounting including journal postings, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
·  Complete HMRC reporting including VAT returns, Intrastat and EC Sale declarations.
·  Liaise with the company car provider and accident management provider to ensure the efficient running of company fleet, including queries and new car orders, support of P11D collation, ensuring adherence to the company car policy and managing the stakeholders and costs within the process.
·  Manage mobile phone contracts and company healthcare scheme.
·  Assist in cash management including bank reconciliations and weekly cashflow forecasts.
·  Support the Global Financial Controller with projects and ad-hoc activities

To do this role you’ll need:
