Assistant Store Director- Operations at our M&M’s World in Las Vegas, NV

Purpose of Role:

The Assistant Store Director Operations supports the store by executing operational and merchandise strategies that consistently meet and exceed company-defined best practices and standards. This role is primarily responsible for store scheduling, payroll administration, attendance reporting, managing the physical maintenance of the building, vendor and P&L responsibility as well as managing and all merchandise shipment processing, floor replenishment, guest shipping and inventory control

Principal Accountabilities:

DRIVE RESULTS / GUEST SERVICE- ACHIEVE OUR GOALS BY BRINGING MORE CHOCOLATE SMILES TO OUR GUESTS

·  Role models the behaviors of an effective Manager on Duty
·  Adheres to “leadership” on the sales floor at all times
·  Displays a 'Guest comes first' attitude by training and holding Guest Experience Associates accountable for delivering legendary service
·  Demonstrates understanding of retail metrics; celebrate successes and or make suggestions for improvement when necessary

TALENT MANAGEMENT- DELIVER AN EXPECTIONAL RETAIL EXPERIENCE BY DELIGHTING OUR GUESTS THROUGH OUR FUN, KNOWLEDGE AND PASSION FOR OUR BRAND

·  Coaches team while at times working side by side with them on the best practices, to meet company productivity standards
·  Ensures productivity goals are met while adhering to company defined best practices
·  Provides consistent, fair and timely feedback to associates through various channels, i.e. one on one opportunities, reviews, coaching, mentoring, training
·  Provides functional training and ongoing tactical and behavioral feedback to the associate
·  Manages a group of assigned associates including Onstage Supervisors and Backstage associates: cash room, shipping, facilities and inventory control ensuring clear expectations are communicated, results are followed up and accountability is applied
·  Ensure all associate are upbeat, engaging and fun, if not take action

PRESENTATION EXCELLENCE- CREATE A VISUALLY EXCITING MERCHANDISE PRESENTATION BY DELIVERING OUR BRAND STANDARD PROMISE

·  Demonstrates knowledge of products, placement Onstage, sales impact according to the space occupied and general understanding of category components
·  Is knowledgeable and in compliance with all M&Ms World visual standards
·  In partnership with Store Director and in-store visual team and corporate team ensures proper and effective training and development is provided to associates to achieve an exceptionally visually appealing store that is Big, Bold and clearly Branded

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE- ENSURING OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCIES WHILE DELIVERING AN EXCITING RETAIL EXPERIENCE

·  Manages the physical plant of the store ensuring all areas of the store including Onstage and Backstage are neat clean, organized, operational and safe
·  Responsible for maintaining a Master Schedule in accordance with business needs
·  Ensures weekly posting of schedule is accurate and appropriate for the needs of the business
·  Maintains a log of vacation and holiday requests; ensures they are implemented into schedules as appropriate
·  Responsible for accurate entry of Kronos functions and overall managing of time and attendance processes and procedures
·  Responsible for recovery on payroll concerns for associates
·  Ensures the time clock is functioning correctly and reports are maintained
·  Manages shipment processing ensuring productivity timelines are met and floor is full to capacity
·  Directs the store inventory control team
·  Maintains a vendor list for all needed services, establish working relationships and issue Purchase Requisitions as needed
·  Ensures Point of Sale system maintenance is monitored to include: repairs, cashier concerns, pricing issues
·  Manages supply and maintenance expenses and all store controllable expenses
·  In partnership with the Store Director responsible for the store’s Profit and Loss statement
·  Ensures that all damaged and defective merchandise is processed per company standards
·  Monitors cash variances and issue appropriate corrective action
·  Responsible for set up, function and guest recovery issues for Shipping Department
·  Complies with and ensure that all associates follow company policies and procedures
·  Manages the physical inventory process
·  In partnership with Store Director ensure that store is in compliance with all employment
·  State and Federal laws, including but not limited to wage and hour and Equal

Key Experiences

·  Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing in a fast paced, high volume retail operation

Desired Education

·  College Degree preferred or equivalent experience
