JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for cleaning of allocated hotel rooms and corridors according to standards and procedures of hotel.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.         Ensures trolley is fully stocked with clean linen and supplies.

2.         Cleans all rooms as assigned by senior housekeeper, which includes occupied, vacant ready, vacant dirty or vacant maintenance rooms.

3.         Ensures correct use of tools and equipment.

4.         Turns in all lost and found items to housekeeping office immediately.

5.         Carries out thorough cleaning or project works when assigned.

6.         Reports all missing, damage or defects in guest rooms.

7.         Ensure all entries made in Room attendant’s report are accurate.

8.         Reports all room status discrepancies to housekeeping office.

9.         Ensures all equipment and supplies are cleaned and stored properly at the end of every shift.

10.       Responsible for cleanliness of guest corridor, lift landing and pantries.

11.       Responsible for all keys issued by senior housekeepers and then return in good condition at end of each shift.

12.       Reports any suspicious characters on guest floors.

13.       Runs errands on guest requests.

14.       Notifies guest laundry parcel for collection.

15.       Performs turn down service.

16.       Assists with evacuation in emergency situation e.g. fire.

 17.       Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
