JOB SUMMARY

 

Responsible to implement all sales activities and maximize business opportunities in specific area of responsibility, implementing and executing all sales action plans. Reporting to the Director of Sales – Leisure and is responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following.

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

 

Job Description

 

·  To be totally familiar with hotel products, rates, and promotions at all times.
·  Maintain up to date understanding of company products and rates and involvement in cross selling of these when required.
·  To participate in preparing the sales action plans, attend sales meetings; develop new ideas such as special packages, programs, promotional activities undertaken by sales department, F&B, spa and other hotel revenue centers in their specific Markets.
·  To identify need periods and offer tactical offers to specified markets. Participate and coordinate peak period booking campaigns.
·  Participate in hotel activities including promotions, sales blitzes, entertainment, and other operational areas as directed.
·  Service needs of customers by attending to all requests promptly within 24 hours.
·  Assist the DOS-Leisure in pursuing new market segments to secure sales and prepare proposals for consideration.
·  Preparation, communication, and participation in FAM trip groups/events.
·  Develop strong, secure, and productive business relations with all companies within portfolio under the geographic / market segment allocated.
·  Positive communication of the hotel image to existing and potential customer at all times.
·  International Travel to specific markets. Attend Tradeshow and represent the hotel. Arrange for individual sales trips for product education and seek out new partnerships.

 

Qualifications

 

·  Experience in luxury hotel segment (5*)
·  Second European Language (a must) preferable German
·  Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
·  Very good presentation skills (site inspections)
·  Understanding of Group operations (arrival procedures, meeting requirements, etc.)
·  Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office are mandatory.
·  Knowledge and experience with Opera is a mandatory.
·  Previous leisure experience in handling Europe market is mandatory.
·  Team player with supportive attitude

Fluency in English and other languages, written and spoken, is preferred.
