JOB SUMMARY                                                                               

Marriott International’s Managed hotel in the London Heathrow Airport market seeks a dynamic, creative and innovative Marketing Manager to be accountable for driving the integrated strategy across this property at LHR to position the hotel competitively with a strong focus on demand generation, brand-strong guest experiences and creative engagement that drives loyalty. 

Professional attributes, skills & experience:

•    2-3 years in a devoted hotel marketing role or relevant marketing experience.

•    Experience in leisure marketing and brand partnerships.

•    Excellent command of the English language - both written & spoken.

•    A natural and proven ability with social media, especially Facebook, LinkedIn Instagram

•    Strong analytical skills required as well as knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

•    Strong communication and presentational skills.

•    Desire to set best practices and share successful initiatives with sister hotels within the Group.

•    Bachelor's degree strongly preferred in marketing and communication.

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Objective:

The Marketing Manager, with the support of the hotel commercial teams will be responsible for the development and execution of the marketing activity for the property, including development of an over-arching London Heathrow Market marketing plan, executing campaigns and promotions, and supporting local pull through of assets and activation packs, for above- and on-property marketing. 

Key job functions:

•          Alongside the Director of Sales & Marketing, develop and execute a robust Marketing strategy consisting of marketing activity on a national, regional and local level, including annual calendar of marketing activity and property level activation plans, briefing, budget setting, creative and execution development, media planning, and reporting.

•          Responsible for ensuring the local activation and pull through of all centrally developed marketing initiatives for transient leisure, meetings and events, fitness, and food and beverage at a property level including implementing digital and physical activation items 

•          Work alongside Marriott Digital Field Marketing To ensure that digital platforms (HWS, OTA, segment) and demand generation tactics (PLUS platform, segment paid media) are maintained and activated in coordination with digital field marketing support in order to grow digital channel share within each hotel’s business mix. 

•          Work with the Food & Beverage to support development and activation of Food & Beverage marketing initiatives, particularly ensuring core concepts and third party concepts are being upheld from a brand perspective

•          Provide Hotel Leadership Team with updates on current and planned marketing activity, gain feedback on hotel requirements 

•          Manage all hotel collateral production requirements, including printed and digital assets and presentations, responsible for providing on and above property sales team with all customer facing assets and providing marketing support for sales driving initiatives 

•          Provide Hotel Leadership Team with marketing information and input in preparation for owner meetings and hotel trading reviews 

•         Support Hotel Leadership Team with setting property marketing budgets and approving proposed spend 

•          Responsible for planning and executing Marriott Bonvoy marketing activity on property whilst supporting Operations teams with training and enrolment initiatives

Hotel Team Support: 

•          Responsible for the communication of all marketing activity to key stakeholders on property

•          Responsible for ensuring hotel activation packs for all marketing activity are activated to ensure campaigns are pulled through to a property level on time, on brand and with maximum impact

•          Responsible for activating social media channels using Marriott’s Social Media Monitoring and Management partner, Sprinklr. This will include the creation of content calendars, organic and paid social media activation, reporting and analysis. 

•          Provide support and guidance to the hotel for activating public relations opportunities on behalf of the hotel and/or UK Marketing when opportunities arise and ensuring the correct procedures are followed with the regional PR Centre of Excellence

•          Responsible for the audit and on-going review of property photography requirements 

•          Responsible for overseeing property photo shoots, including providing brand photographic guidelines, liaise with brand approved photographers, provide sample photography and guidance on use of photography playbook, and photography audits 

•          Managing the relationship with Digital Field Marketing to ensure that the hotels’ annual Digital Plans are optimised and supported with necessary content and funding in a timely manner 

•          Responsible for providing marketing support for properties undergoing renovation including managing marketing critical path and pre, during and post communications plans

•          Manage local hotel email tool usage and execution, including reporting on usage and quality of content
