POSITION SUMMARY

Assists with the development and execution of strategic programs that market Marriott's strength and value to the Owner & Franchise community. Support communications projects across various mediums, including Marriott's Intranet (MGS), emails, the mi360 communication platform, Weekly Update and Quarterly Game Plans (via The Check-In communication platform), as well as executive speeches & presentations. Create clear and effective written communications for all vehicles.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
·  Understands the needs of Marriott's owner and franchise communities – including franchised hotels – and leverage understanding to develop communications related to various programs and projects.
·  Maintains a thorough understanding of Marriott's, and OFS' business objectives. Understand owner differentiation and brand segmentation in order to identify and satisfy communication needs.
·  Assists with management of communications vehicles targeted towards Owners & Franchises.
·  Assists with the development, management and maintenance of key department business systems (i.e., Content management systems (Wordpress), email campaign management tools (Silverpop), customer database and distribution lists (OASIS and Excel)).
·  Works across the organization to ensure information and policies that impact Owners & Franchisees are communicated in an appropriate and timely manner.
·  Develops communications plans in partnership with brand and/or discipline leaders and deliver against plan to ensure owner/franchise awareness and execution on property.
·  Assists with management of communications vehicles targeted towards Owners & Franchises as well as franchised hotel General Managers (e.g., mi360, Weekly Update, Game Plans, ad hoc communications and MGS).
·  Performs other duties as assigned, in order to meet business needs

CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED

Education
·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Communications or related major

Experience
·  2 – 3 years of communications planning and execution experience
·  Demonstrated experience relevant to the position

Required Skills
·  Ability to manage multiple projects and build consensus among multiple stakeholders.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong writing, editing, design, proofreading abilities.
·  Strong technology/systems aptitude. Analytical skills (i.e., able to review data and provide recommendations for process enhancements). Experience with content management systems, web site management, email campaign management tools, or customer databases a plus.
·  Demonstrated design and creative experience, with an eye for modern and innovative business design. Includes knowledge of key design technologies (i.e., HTML, Illustrator, InDesign and other Adobe Creative Suite products).
·  Experience with web and email publishing.
·  Demonstrated interpersonal, problem resolution and teamwork skills coupled with the ability to influence and maintain relationships with associates. Ability to maintain and grow relationships with internal partners; mine resources to produce value added tools.
·  Proven marketing, communications, project and process management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently (from concept to product delivery) and set priorities.
·  Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
·  Ability to analyze large amounts of data (e.g., communications tracking, performance metrics) and make recommendations for improvement based on findings.
·  Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to understand and navigate through the Americas and OFS organizations.
