DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
The intern will work for Marriott’s Talent Acquisition team in Australia, based in the Singapore office to support Talent Acquisition and Talent Management, working with Corporate stakeholders and hotel executive management team within Australia.
The intern will have an opportunity to work with the APEC Talent Acquisition and Management Solutions (TAMS) team. The nature of work will entail supporting Australia’s Employer Brand initiatives/activities to drive operational HR excellence across the market.
Key responsibilities include:
· Execute employer brand initiatives on social media or in house events in-collaboration with the markets
· Track social media metrics and results related to success of campaigns
· Update employer brand page for Marriott Careers Australia and local job boards
· Create creatives such as collaterals, videos, social media posts for recruitment and employer branding events
· Support Australia team to roll out Corporate Talent Acquisition and Management Solutions initiatives in areas of HR Systems, Recruitment, Human Capital Planning, Employer Branding, and College Relations
· Research and maintain candidate pool database to support talent planning initiatives
· Generate report, analyze data / metrics and propose recommendations for TAMS metrics
· Research latest HR trends on sourcing methods and technology to improve work processes
· Organize and participate in regional office associate event
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
· Understand hospitality industry and HR function especially in areas of Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Employer Branding
· Understand the process of Employer Branding, from campaign ideation, to planning, execution, and evaluation
· Understand global employer brand initiatives and adaption process to local implementation
· Design and executive of local employer brand pages and social media posts
· Display professionalism in verbal/ written communications
· Adapt communication style to collaborate with stakeholders from different brands and disciplines
· Build strong relationship with co-worker, customers and management stakeholders
· Organize and prioritize work efficiently
· Problem solving and project management skills to drive business outcomes
· Apply classroom knowledge, observe opportunities to learn beyond job scope and not limited to HR department
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
We are looking for a university student who is passionate, committed, and keen to establish a career in the Human Resources discipline with the following attributes:
· Strong interest in honing creative and marketing skills within the Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding space
· Creativity and interest in digital marketing
· Familiarity with using major social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok etc.)
· Ability to learn quickly and excel in a fast-paced environment
· Detailed-oriented, structured, and organized
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Excellent command of spoken and written English
· Good proficiency in design or video editing software
· Good proficiency in PowerPoint
QUALIFICATION STANDARD
Education:
Undergraduate in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Business Management preferred
Requirements
Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday pass
Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / undergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States.
Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship
