Job description
Purpose of Role
To achieve the company’s business objectives by carrying out various HR functions, including insurance administration, talent acquisition, intern engagement, talent activities, and general administration. Demonstrate a proactive attitude in enhancing talent engagement and ensure the smooth daily operations of the Human Resources department in compliance with relevant regulations and Marriott policies and procedures.
Responsibly Description
· Be familiar with the Labor Standards Act and other labor-related regulations.
· Handle routine HR operations, including Talent data maintenance, insurance administration, and recruitment processes.
· Organize all Intern Happenings and serve as an Intern Coach.
· Manage the onboarding process for new Talents and assist them with applications for required licenses or permits.
· Maintain the strictest confidentiality at all times on all matters.
· Maintain filing and tracking systems.
· Create and photocopy correspondences and documents.
· Answer telephone calls and respond to correspondence.
· Maintain up-to-date information in the Marriott and W Taipei HR systems.
· Assist in ensuring all personnel records are accurately maintained and securely stored.
· Prepare and maintain files, reports, letters, memorandums, and other relevant business documentation.
· Translate written documents.
· Attend meetings and provide simultaneous interpretation when required.
· Develop and maintain effective partnerships with external organizations such as universities, government offices, and other hotels.
· Provide continuous feedback on current HR issues to the Assistant Human Resources Manager, Human Resources Manager, and Director of Human Resources.
· Follow all company policies and procedures.
· Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, including express services.
· Handle and store stock in accordance with stock control procedures.
· Take proactive action to correct hazardous situations and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
· Adhere to the hotel’s safety, security, and emergency policies and procedures.
· Be aware of the duty of care and comply with occupational health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
· Be familiar with property safety measures, first aid, and fire emergency procedures.
· Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements.
· Adhere to the hotel’s cleaning and maintenance programs.
· Maintain personal presentation in accordance with W Taipei, W Hotels, and Marriott standards.
· Demonstrate a professional attitude and behavior at all times.
· Work effectively as a member of the team.
· Analyze, evaluate and improve personal performance continuously.
· Apply the hotel’s quality assurance principles.
· Abide by Marriott’s Business Code of Conduct.
· Comply with Marriott policies and the W Taipei Talent Handbook.
· Collaborate with the Training department to develop and maintain an effective performance management program in line with Marriott policies.
· Regularly communicate relevant HR policies and information to the management team and actively participate in HR and other designated meetings.
· Actively promote a work environment that cares for guests and Talent alike.
· Assist with reward and recognition programs.
· Ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
· Carry out other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisors.
