Housekeeping - Room Attendant

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to Housekeeping Supervisor in regards to daily reporting of the rooms cleaning and inspecting of the rooms check in and check out which also includes any trouble with the rooms. Clean guest rooms and/or suites in a timely and thorough manner to ensure total guest satisfaction.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

Secondary school or equivalent

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

·  Meets with superior and takes on daily assigned tasks
·  Reports and submits lost and found articles to superior immediately
·  Report guest complaints to superior immediately
·  Reports unusual behaviour/activities on floors to supervisor
·  Records room status in allocated section accurately 
·  Cleans and maintains guest rooms, guest corridors, and according to standards and procedures.
·  Replenishes guest supplies
·  Ensures guest services specified by superiors and guests’ requests are promptly and courteously met
·  Reports damage or malfunction in hotel rooms to superior
·  Records room status in allocated section accurately
·  Complies with hotel’s health, safety and hygiene policy
·  Adheres to personal grooming and hygiene standard
·  Attends training sessions as required
