POSITION SUMMARY
Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Sales, Data Administration, Accounting) as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems. Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott, including up-selling. Determine and give complimentaries to guests as gifts for their patronage (e.g., rewards points, show tickets, gift certificates). Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Process requests for redeeming Marriott Rewards points. Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. Enter Marriott Rewards information into appropriate software when taking guest reservations. Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns. Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, faxing).
Assist management in training and motivating employees; serve as a role model. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Monitor the performance of others to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Empowering Hotel Restaurants & Bars Success This dedicated role supports hotels with restaurants and bars outlets to achieve significant results in their food and beverage operations. The Restaurants & Bars Marketing Senior Manager / Restaurants & Bars Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing and collaborates closely with the Director of Food and Beverage/Operations. Their primary goals are to drive revenue growth and establish the hotel's reputation for culinary excellence. Developing a Comprehensive Restaurants & Bars Marketing Strategy The core responsibility is to develop and execute a comprehensive Restaurants & Bars marketing plan focused on attracting local diners and increasing market share within the local community. The manager will leverage a multi-channel approach, utilizing traditional media, digital platforms (including the hotel website and social media), and owned channels to showcase the unique offerings of each Restaurants & Bars outlet and the overall dining experience. Fostering Collaboration for Innovative Marketing The Restaurants & Bars R&B Marketing Senior Manager / Restaurants & Bars R&B Marketing Manager fosters a collaborative environment. They hold regular brainstorming sessions with the Director of F&B and other stakeholders to develop innovative content creation ideas, explore paid media strategies, and brainstorm targeted offers and promotions for targeted channels to attract new guests and drive repeat business.
Internal and External Collaboration Internally, they collaborate with stakeholders like the Director of Sales & Marketing, F&B Operations, Communications, MDS, Brand, Digital Marketing, Content, Partnerships, and Area Directors. This collaboration extends to external partners as well, building strong relationships with local media, corporate partners, social media influencers, and community leaders to attract local diners and elevate the hotel's Restaurants & Bars revenue and reputation. Creating Compelling Content and Building Partnerships This role focuses on creating engaging content and developing compelling offers and promotions. The manager may also collaborate with Marriott Bonvoy Asia (if applicable) for consistency in marketing efforts. To maximize marketing effectiveness, the manager leverages partnerships with Marriott Digital Services (MDS) and partners like SevenRooms. This collaboration allows for the optimization of online booking systems and the utilization of data analytics to inform data-driven decisions. Success Metrics To evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies for Restaurants & Bars, we focus on key metrics that drive reputation and enhance revenue. These indicators will guide performance assessment and identify growth opportunities. Driving reputation: • Public Relations (PR) Value: Quantity and quality of media coverage and brand mentions • Awards: Recognition and accolades received in the industry • Share of Voice (SoV): Competitive positioning in local media and online conversations • Covers: Total number of guests served, providing insight into customer engagement and satisfaction • Strategic Partnerships Revenue growth: • Revenue: Direct sales figures and overall financial performance • Data Capture: Volume of customer data collected for insights and strategy refinement • Direct Reservations: Increase in bookings made through direct channels • Enrolments: Growth in the number of customers enrolled in loyalty programs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
