MISSION OF THE ROLE:

·  Develop new processes for the manufacturing of microstructured ophthalmic lenses
·  Microstructures need to be implemented on the lenses and encapsulated. Embossing and/or imprint, molding… are promising technos that need to be improved (reliability, productivity, simplicity…)
·  Validate the process as a whole (considering previous & following steps of manufacturing until the wearer)

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Adapt existing machines
·  Imagine new machines
·  Set the best parameters
·  Gather arguments to compare technos each other

 

 

CANDIDATE’S PROFILE:

·  Educational background in Mechanic, Material, Polymer
·  At least 1/2years of experience in the field of R&D
·  Experience in optic microfabrication (nice to have)
·  Solid experience with programming, measurement, experimental design
·  Resourceful, initiative, methodical, self-organized
·  Good communication skills
·  Fluent in English and French
