About the role:
Within Global Lens Innovation Deployment, the mission of Marking & Packing team is to industrialized new processes, technologies and products to deliver to Rx Labs and Mass Production Plant standard and robust manufacturing solution. As an engineer you will lead studies & projects in the field of marking to deliver solutions to our internal customers. You will participate to industrialization projects in line with these new technologies and will transfer the knowledge to zones engineering teams
Key role accountabilities:
· Lead internal/external collaborations for laser process development in collaboration with upstream R&D studies (myopia control, tinting,…)
· Ensure a techno watch of patent in partnership with IP department, within the field of ophthalmic application
· Share laser expertise used in manufacturing equipment within the group
· Work in partnership with techno plan to build business case & economics
· Participate and convey a vision to steer expertise, execute corresponding roadmaps
· Laser process integration in industrial manufacturing equipment
· Participate to industrial pilot
· Ensure ESSILOR Principles & Values implementation
Your profile:
· Engineer’s Degree preferably in Physics / Laser field
· Preferably at least 2 years’ relevant experience
· Knowledge and interest in technologies and laser process industrialization - willingness to work also on site, to do tests on the machines
· Experience in a transversal and international work environment , within a dynamic and innovative team
· Knowledge of generic Physics, laser / material interaction ideally enriched with system engineering knowledge to lead equipment development in partnership with suppliers
· Fluent English & French
· Good command of MS Office
· Communication & cooperation skills
· Positive mindset
· Agile, adaptable, and willing to learn person
· Open-minded profile
· Strong sense of innovation
