GENERAL FUNCTION

The Operator in the Edging and Invoicing Department will be responsible for carrying out inspections and inspection work. This operator will act as a versatile trimming technician and will be required to demonstrate flexibility and your ability to perform blocking tasks as well as all basic activities in a trimming and assembly service. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, day shift.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Know all the tasks and production steps of the hobbing operations
·  Carry out the final inspection control of orders that comply with Essilor's quality standards
·  Perform lens cleaning and cosmetic inspection
·  Perform lens locking with appropriate equipment
·  Perform lens blocking with automatic locking equipment
·  Perform lens marking
·  Receive, sort, tray, and remove lenses and frames
·  Read a work order and the prescription of an order and assign it to the right workstation/department
·  Carry out the tracing of the frames
·  Unpack lenses and frames from other branches and customers
·  Perform computer searches to associate the lens tray and the frame or create a cabaret
·  Print the order forms corresponding to the glasses for other laboratories of the group and insert the vouchers in the cabarets
·  Wip and Correlation File Tracking
·  Perform computer entry of orders that may come from customers such as cutting, re-cutting, polishing, etc. on glasses included
·  Check the supplier's glass orders and fill the shelves with glasses
·  All other related tasks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

·  High School Diploma/ Diploma of Collegial Studies in Visual Orthotic Techniques (an asset)
·  3-5 years of experience in hobbing or equivalent position (an asset)
·  Knowledge of types of lenses, types of bevels, mount, experience with CNC (computer numerical control) equipment
·  Precise and meticulous when performing manual work, sense of observation, autonomous, excellent team spirit and organized
