GENERAL FUNCTION

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for Installation, troubleshooting, and repairing facility electrical equipment which includes lighting and Distribution panels .Technician assists Automation support team to keep production equipment in service.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains all electrical systems and equipment up to 480 volts.
·  Monitors transfer Switches and Generators and including fuel consumption and Refueling.
·  Completes electrical installations projects, repairs, per codes and industry standards.
·  Installs conduit, control panels, transformers, wire, breakers, lighting, etc. not to exceed 200 amps.
·  Maintains Building Lighting Controls and Lighting Repairs.
·  Assists Automation support team to keep production equipment in service.
·  Troubleshoots and diagnoses motors, and basic motor controls.
·  Assist with Preventive maintenance on equipment when necessary.
·  Completes general facility maintenance as required
·  Minor Fabrication including basic welding.
·  Minor Construction.
·  Track maintenance work orders, inventory, purchase orders, facility inspections as required
·  Assist the maintenance team in the training and team development
·  Must be reliable in attendance and punctuality, including breaks and lunch periods.
·  Support, follow, and monitor all safety requirements / expectations
·  Maintain adherence to company policies.
·  Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

·  Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
·  Technical or trade school (Industrial or Commercial Electrical)
·  3+ years industrial / commercial electrical experience required
·  Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics and As built Drawings.
·  Basic PC knowledge and math skills.
·  Must have knowledge of procedures and standards including Lock-Out/ Tag-Out.
·  MSDS, PPE, OSHA Standards
·  Ability to troubleshoot problems/issue using root cause analysis.
·  Must have the ability to run conduit up to 2” without supervision
·  Incumbent must be able to rotate from sitting and standing for long periods of time. Bend or twist as needed.  Use of repetitive motion of hands and wrists as necessary, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds
·  Must be able to work at heights up to 60’
