GENERAL FUNCTION

This role will collaborate with Sr. HR Manager to help support the execution of EssilorLuxottica HR programs and initiatives such as talent management, succession planning, performance management, recruiting, and employee relations in multiple units with a prime focus in the state of California.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Provide operational support to the Sr. HR Manager, managers, supervisors, and employees within assigned locations.
·  Provide guidance to management and employees on inquiries regarding the organization’s processes, policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure HR policies and practices are applied and provide direction to multi-level managers.
·  Utilize consultative process to help team identify associate performance needs and recommend solutions to address business issues.
·  Ensures managers have resources to execute appropriate HR practices, processes, tools, and systems
·  Provide guidance as needed to business leaders regarding their behaviors, skills, including individual and team development, decision-making, problem-solving, and general leadership practices.
·  Provide support on day-to-day HR initiatives to ensure HR is positioned to execute with consistency and excellence
·  Proactively learn and answer basic HR transactional questions.
·  Assist in identification, development, and execution of tools to help leaders manage and develop their people (e.g. individual development plans, performance management, corrective counseling, succession/talent management, and pay-for-performance)
·  Support accountability for employee engagement for the business, including development and execution of action plans
·  Effectively support leaders to execute change within their departments (e.g., acquisitions, restructuring, etc.)
·  Build collaborative relationships with team members and leadership to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives and business processes.
·  Assist with conducting confidential and sensitive investigations and support resolution initiatives.
·  Collaborate with HR COEs, address issues systemically/consistently, creating a continuous improvement culture
·  Coordinates support in reorganizations including data gathering, legal reporting, and system shutdowns, property collection, separation documents, etc.

  

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

·  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration or equivalent combination of experience and/or education is required
·  5+ years’ in HR Generalist or relevant HR experience
·  Bilingual (Spanish)
·  Ability to travel 20-40%
·  California focused- knowledge of local/state employment laws and procedures
·  Knowledge of federal employment laws and procedures
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  Strong organizational, time management skills, and detail oriented/self-motivated
·  Excellent problem-solving skills with passion for data integrity, process definition, critical thinking and continuous learning
·  Comfortable in a high paced environment with competing priorities and the ability to remain organized and focused while working under pressure.
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·  Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
·  Proven success executing change initiatives.
·  Expert in Microsoft Office Suite

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·  Operations/Manufacturing experience
·  PHR or SHRM certification
·  Multi-state HR support

​Pay Range: 87,100.20  - 125913.7 

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
