As the Rx Operations EMEA Environment and Energy Manager at EssilorLuxottica, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing sustainable environmental practices and energy management strategies across the EMEA region. You will play a key role in the "Eyes on the Planet" program, ensuring its effective integration into regional operations. Your primary tasks will involve developing and executing environmental policies, reducing the company's carbon footprint, managing energy consumption, and fostering a culture of eco-consciousness within the organization.

 

 

AREAS of RESPONSIBILITIES and RELATED ACTIVITIES

•          Environmental and Energy strategy : Develop and implement comprehensive environmental and energy strategies aligned with corporate sustainability goals, including energy efficiency, waste management, water conservation, and biodiversity preservation.

•          Environment and Energy Management: Monitor and optimize energy usage, waste management, water conservation : identify areas for improvement, and roll out technical solutions to reduce the organization's overall impact

•          Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and group standards (including but not limited to EHS Standards, Rx referential,…), staying updated on changing legislation and proactively addressing any potential issues.

•          Sustainable Initiatives: Identify and execute sustainable initiatives that contribute to the reduction of the company's ecological impact, including the promotion of renewable energy and the implementation of eco-friendly practices.

•          Community animation : Develop and work closely with community members within the area of responsibility, facilitate innovation and sharing of best practice

•          Reporting and Analysis: Generate periodic reports on environmental performance, energy usage, and sustainability metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement

 

 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

We are looking for an individual holding a Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Energy Management, Sustainability.

Additional certifications in environmental management or energy-related disciplines are highly desirable.

 

We are looking for someone with Project Management experience in the environmental field and that can prove the use of following skills in a professional environment :

·  Environmental Expertise: Strong understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability practices, and energy management principles within the EMEA region
·  Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term environmental strategies aligned with corporate objectives and sustainability goals
·  Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, and the ability to communicate complex environmental concepts to non-technical audiences
·  Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to derive insights from environmental and energy-related data to drive informed decision-making.
·  Leadership: Proven leadership capabilities to inspire and drive a culture of environmental responsibility within the organization, fostering a sense of shared commitment to sustainability
·  Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
·  Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address complex environmental challenges and develop innovative solutions
·  Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams to achieve environmental and energy management goals
·  Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and accurate data analysis
·  Innovation: A passion for innovation and a drive to implement technologies and practices that contribute to sustainable development and energy efficiency
