Responsibilities

Managing diesel engine development projects throughout the entire project cycle from feasibility assessment and project design until start of production
Support the definition of the specifications (technical specification with product management and customers) and feasibility assessment of the customer requirements
Preparation of a first planning („team approach“) including the resources/costs planning of the project application
Development of the project organization and project design in collaboration with internal interfaces and line management
Organization and presentation of project meetings, steady contact and exchange with internal partners from development and other departments
Reporting to the steering committee and to Platform Director Combustion Engines, realization of project reviews and regular update of the project milestones’ planning including action plans in case of deviations from targets
Secure the quality goals by involving external partners and ensure compliance with the cost objectives of the project and the product

Requirements

Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive, mechatronics or similar and further education in project management
Several years professional experience in the field of combustion engine development as well as project management in an industrial environment
Proven track record in succesful management of cross-functional customer projects in an international matrix organization, specific know-how and experience with diesel engines for heavy-duty and off-road applications highly preferred
Fluency in German and English, knowledge in French preferred
Very good knowledge with MS Office and in particular with project management IT-Tools (MS Project)
Confident appearance, assertiveness, analytical and solution-oriented mindset, outstanding organizational talent and social skills, flexibility and willingness to change
