Job Summary:

The Training Manager is responsible for contributing to the improvement of productivity of the workforce. This position is responsible for effective development, coordination and execution of training and education initiatives across all functions and levels. The Training Manager drives and educates managers on training processes to ensure sustainability of training and education initiatives. The Training Manager ensures all training systems are audit ready at all times and represents the facilities during internal and external audits pertaining to training and education. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

·  Assess performance gaps and partner with key stakeholders to develop and execute sustainable training initiatives to close the gaps for both  L’Oreal and Temporary employees
·  Develop, and execute annual facility training plans, including all budgeting responsibilities
·  Assist and coordinate with managers regarding development plans for employees
·  Report training KPI’s, monitor trends, and take appropriate action as needed
·  Manage Training Resource SharePoint site, including the required training matrix, department skills matrices, and all course materials
·  Partner with HRIS to manage courses and training tracks in PRISM system and Business Objects reporting function
·  Perform generalist activities: Some examples include- new hire orientation and integration, employee events, investigations, etc.
·  Research, negotiate and select external training and education sources and involve key stakeholders as necessary. Coordinate and schedule internal and external training as needed
·  Serve as liaison between North Little Rock, AR Operations and Corporate training functions
·  Ensure tracking and documentation control of training records, procedures, and forms
·  Perform regular maintenance of the training tracking system (Passport).

Judgment and Decision Making:

This position requires the individual to make sound decisions by considering stakeholder input and calculating potential risk. The Training Manager must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

 

Job Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s Degree required;
·  Demonstrated operational training and development experience in a manufacturing environment required
·  Demonstrated knowledge (through direct experience) of adult learning concepts, instructional design techniques and evaluation methodologies
·  Experience with/knowledge of e-learning technology platforms
·  Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
·  Knowledge of applicable state and Federal Human Resources Laws

·  Ability to organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects and function effectively as a self-directed leader of multiple initiatives
·  Ability to lead, influence and build relationships across levels and functions
·  Ability to display professional judgment and sound decision making skills
·  Excellent oral/written communication skills, including group facilitation and presentation skills
·  Strong planning and project management skills and the ability to apply these skills in effective working partnerships across organizational levels
·  Creative thinker with the initiative to continuously move the Training and Development function to the next level
·  Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy
