Job Title: Coordinator of New York Technical Salon

FLSA:  Non-exempt

Function: Marketing Support/Services

Supervisor Title: Dir - Testing

Location:   New York, NY

 

Section 2:   Job Summary

Position requires the execution of all organizational, administrative activities and customer service duties for the New York Technical Salon. Position is accountable for customer registration; model call scheduling and circulation of all NYTS related information/activities while maintaining a quality environment. Responsibilities include:

·         Management of registration/booking models and process

·         Answering and responding to all phone calls

·         Accountability of registration and booking process

·         Confirm appointments by call or email

·         Maintaining an organized computer database files and records/model history

·         Maintain daily calendars

·         Assist with special projects or events being held for NYTS

·         Order catering when needed

·         Recruit new models

·         UPS Mailings and tracking

·         Order supplies

·         Print out sign in sheets and model history/maintenance

·         Product log-in

·         Coordinate with our temp agency 

 

Section 3:   Job Requirements

·  Prior experience in a corporate environment required
·  Bachelor’s degree in business or related subject preferred
·  Hair stylist/salon background preferred
·  Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) and Outlook
·  Strong communication skills, verbal and written
·  Strong orientation to the salon industry; proven ability to relate and build relationships with hairdressers
·  Ability to maintain organization while effectively managing multiple tasks and competing priorities
·  Possess ability to work in a team environment across multiple functions

 

Section 4:   Judgment and Decision Making

The incumbent must exercise discretion and independent judgment on all tasks and must be able to work independently and make decisions when needed.  It is important he/she will use discretion on when to involve management in the day to day matters.  Moderate supervision or approval may be required for events and project work requiring analysis.  For management and organization of the floor and meetings, no supervision is required. 

 

Section 5:  Essential Physical Requirements

Stock product and supply closets, filing, minor lifting under 10 lbs

 

Section 6:   Financial Scope

This position does not directly manage a budget but should have capability to do so if required.  Interacts with Finance as needed to resolve discrepancies or gain approvals.  Will process purchase orders when necessary
