Womenswear Woven Design Assistant - Graduate Trainee

Job description

One of Kering's iconic British Fashion houses, is seeking a Graduate Trainee to join their Design Studio for a period of 12 Months. The candidate will be working closely with the Womenswear wovens Design team.

During this internship you will have the opportunity to closely assist the Womenswear Design team and gain experience of the creative process as well as getting involved with a variety of projects which go towards producing the collection.

Design Studio Responsibilities:

· In depth research
· Maintaining and updating archives
· Amending sketches
· Making swatches/ mockups/ trials
· Developing finishing techniques
· Photoshop colour ups
· Creative draping
· Sourcing vintage according to set brief
· Other administrative tasks required by the WRTW design team

·  Ability to sew with industrial and domestic machines
·  Strong hand sewing skills
