ROLE MISSION
The Global Press Office Senior Manager coordinates, drives and implements a sophisticated Global Press communications strategy in alignment with the overall Marketing & Communication Strategy and with the Creative Director’s vision, and will develop and implement strategic communication plans at world wide level, able to enhance Gucci reputation and public image.
This role, reporting directly to the Global Communication Director, will oversee the editorial planning of Gucci at global level, ensuring a consistent, appropriate and impactful presence across diverse global markets.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute strategic communications plan for new collections and campaigns aligning with brand positioning and market standards.
· Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other materials to communicate key messages and announcements to the media and the public
· Streamline both digital and in-person press conferences for international and Italian media, managing the selection of media outlets, simultaneous translation services, and digital platform providers.
· Work with Regional Press Offices on editorial plans from media selection and ensure accurate timing and distribution of press materials pre- and post-conference.
· Monitor Regional Press strategies, provide ongoing feedback, and track outcomes.
· Lead communications planning for fashion shows, including initial announcements, exclusive pitching (e.g., WWD),distribution of all pre- and post-show materials, sitting checking, providing proactive guidance and oversight for regional PR teams.
· Develop and implement the global communication plan for the Gucci exhibition, ensuring unified storytelling across fashion, art, and lifestyle media.
· Oversee international press invitations, hospitality arrangements, and manage the press conference and press preview logistics in collaboration with the curator and featured artists.
· Monitor and manage Gucci reputation and monitor media coverage and prepare reports to evaluate the effectiveness of public relations campaigns and identify areas for improvement
Key Requirements
· Extensive experience in luxury fashion PR or related global communications roles.
· Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee complex, multi-market PR initiatives.
· Exceptional storytelling and content creation abilities and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively convey complex and delicate information to various audiences
· Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and market trends to develop effective communication strategies
· Deep understanding of media landscapes, especially within the luxury and fashion industries.
· Expertise in press material development, strategic planning, and global stakeholder coordination
· Leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to guide and motivate a team of public relations professionals
· English fluency required, additional languages are a plus.
