Kaino, a specialized recruitment firm, is hiring a Supplier Quality Assurance Manager for a fast-growing private label food company, as part of the expansion of its Barcelona team.
MISSIONS:
- Manage and review supplier food safety and quality documentation (approvals, renewals, certifications)
- Conduct supplier and facility audits and manage non-conformities and corrective action plans
- Ensure ongoing compliance with internal standards, customer requirements and regulatory frameworks
- Coordinate with suppliers across Europe, Middle East and Africa
- Challenge supplier documentation and follow up on missing or inconsistent information
- Track certification validity and expirations (organic, food safety schemes, etc.)
- Work closely with Sourcing, Development and Quality leadership teams
- Maintain accurate and structured documentation within internal systems (SAP and related tools)
Desired profile
PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field
- Around 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the food industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier audits, food safety or compliance roles
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (BRC, IFS, FSSC 22000, HACCP)
- Proven experience managing supplier documentation and audits
- High attention to detail and strong ability to challenge suppliers
- Comfortable working autonomously in a document-heavy environment
- Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage
