Food Safety – Quality Control Specialist - Kaino - Barcelona

Permanent contract – Barcelona (hybrid / remote possible)

€30/35k gross annual salary

Kaino, a specialized recruitment firm, is hiring a Quality Control Specialist for a private label food company, to strengthen its raw material quality control and documentation processes.

MISSIONS:

Review, validate and manage Certificates of Analysis (COA) for raw materials

Check microbiological and chemical parameters (salmonella, yeast, moisture, etc.)

Coordinate raw material sampling and lab testing with third-party laboratories

Track sampling requests, test results and follow-ups

Act as the main point of contact with suppliers regarding quality documentation

Upload and manage COAs and test results in SAP

Support batch clearance and ensure raw material compliance

Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Sourcing, Logistics and Operations teams

Maintain accurate, audit-ready quality records

Desired profile

PROFILE:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field

Around 5 years of experience in Quality Control, laboratory or food ingredients environments

Solid understanding of COAs and raw material quality parameters

Basic microbiology knowledge related to food safety

Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline

Experience coordinating with suppliers and laboratories

Comfortable working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)

Fluent in both English and Spanish
