During the course of this program you will have the opportunity to develop yourself and your skill set through a rotational program that you will include spending time learning about different aspects of Consumer R&D. The functional rotation may include:

·  R&D Deployment of projects
·  Regulatory Affairs
·  Global CMC (Chemistry, Manufacture & Control)
·  Pharmacovigilance
·  Supporting Marketed Products

A brief summary of what these functions do is provided below:

Medical Affairs - Medical Affairs professionals use their medical knowledge to help bring products to market, and ensure their safe and effective use in the hands of healthcare professionals and consumers. They may be involved at any stage of development from trials to marketing, working internally with marketing, regulatory, safety and legal colleagues, and externally with important regulatory bodies.

R&D Deployment of projects - Deployment is responsible for delivering of Johnson & Johnson growth projects, meeting all technical requirements. In Maidenhead we work with Sales & Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain to ensure that we invest in the best projects to deliver strategic profitable growth and maintain compliance. We also lead major cross-functional business programs to deliver Johnson & Johnson top strategic priorities such as emerging market growth, ‘next generation' regulatory compliance and innovative process technology.

Regulatory Affairs - Regulatory Affairs professionals are responsible for registration or placing on the market of products that meet the regulatory requirements of a country or region. Johnson & Johnson Consumer has a diverse portfolio of products that include Cosmetics, Medical Devices, and Medicines. The individual would learn about the framework of Regulatory Science and apply the knowledge in bringing new products to market and maintaining products already on the market. It will include interacting with a diverse range of functions within the company; Medical Affairs, Pharmcovigilance, Clinical Research, Toxicology, Legal Affairs, and Quality Assurance. Externally interactions may include Regulatory Authorities, Trade Associations, and Non-Governmental Organisations.

Global CMC (Chemistry, Manufacture & Control) - Is responsible for ensuring that the Company's OTC medicinal products remain in compliance with registered information and with relevant regulatory guidelines. This is achieved by ensuring that marketing authorisations applications for new products meet appropriate requirements, and that any changes to our products are evaluated and the registration files updated by applications to regulatory authorities throughout the lifetime of the products.

Supporting Marketed Products - To manage and provide technical oversight to various projects associated with currently marketed OTC finished drug products within EMEA region. The technical oversight will be covered but not be limited to manufacturing trouble shooting, process improvement, analytical validation, product reformulation, manufacturing site transfers, whilst ensuring adequate documentation is available to support successful registration of projects. The technical oversight is completed by working in cross functional team with both internal and external manufacturing sites. Our technical solutions enable innovation, quality, complexity reduction and reliability to fuel growth through improved quality and profitability.

Pharmacovigilance - Is responsible for safety monitoring of medicines marketed by Johnson & Johnson. This department has oversight of activities relating to the detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse effects or any other drug-related problem.

In this program you will gain continued professional development using internal Johnson & Johnson courses and selected external courses and you will also have the opportunity to participate in training where you will learn new leadership and technical skills, which will be combined with the opportunity to apply this business knowledge in an environment that requires launching new products and lifecycle management of existing products. Requirements of the role
To be considered for this programme you must have:

Graduated within the last 2 years with a bachelor's/master's degree in one of the following scientific disciplines:

·  Biology
·  Life Science (e.g. Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Bio-medical Science)
·  Pharmacy
·  Product Engineering
·  Material Science
·  Physical Sciences (Chemistry or Physics)
·  Natural Sciences
Degree qualification at 2:1 or above
