About the role
John Lewis is currently recruiting for a Community Executive to join the Social Media Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about social media to play an integral role at a leading UK Retailer.

Salary range - The budgeted salary range for this role is set at £27,700 - £33,000

Contract type - Permanent

Working pattern/flexible working. We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a blended working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The social team aim for around 2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this.

Location - This role is based at our Head Office campus in London Pimlico. Please note, any cost incurred as a result of travel to the office is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is no travel allowance for this role.
What will you be doing?
As a Social Community Executive you’ll be the external voice of John Lewis managing all social channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and TikTok, building and cultivating best-in class communities with our customers and engaging with influencers. You are a confident copywriter and creator who will adopt our tone of voice, act as our brand guardian and consistently look for ways to enhance the customer experience.
You will feel confident analysing data and customer sentiment to report back to the business on content and campaign success. You;ll demonstrate the ability to spot trends and jump onto proactive opportunities so that John Lewis is present in relevant conversations at the right time. You’ll be charged with owning the editorial calendar, looking at planned and reactive social opportunities and know how to create compelling social first content that drives high engagement and social buzz.
Essential skills you’ll need:

Good knowledge of social channels, social content creation, social listening tools, and broader trends in social media

Demonstrable experience in creating social content across a range of platforms and community management for brands.

Excellent technical knowledge of how to use social media platforms eg Facebook Business Manager
·
Creative thinking delivering inspiring and relevant content whilst managing data
·
Experience of understanding customers, tone of voice on social media and ability to drive performance whilst protecting brand values
·
Experience of multiple stakeholder management
·
Experience of reviewing numbers and turning insights into actionable plans
