Hours of Work: Full Time, 37.5 Hours, PM 14:00 - 22:00 weekdays, 10:00 - 18:00 Saturdays
Salary: The expected starting rate for this role will £36,000, annual (based on experience)
This role will attract a potential shift premium of 22.5% of base rate, this is an additional earning of £6,727.50 Annually
About the role
Our Section Manager will manage a team of Partners reporting directly to a site Operations manager.
This is a great opportunity moving into the 2-Person Home Delivery Network. You will need to demonstrate flexibility in working hours in order to fulfil the customer proposition. This role has the duty manager.
You will be required to be cross functional across all operational areas within the replace with Customer Delivery Hub including Warehouse and Administration Support and will be expected to act responsibly in line with Corporate Social Responsibility commitments and waste management for your department and site.
The successful Section Manager will be responsible for:

Ensuring operation adhere to all rules and regulations regarding legal compliance
·
Delivering all operational KPIs in line with Partner, Customer, Profit and ensure compliance in line with all business wide metrics
·
Prioritising workload in line with service level agreements to enable lead-times to be met for both internal and external customers
·
Planning operational resource (daily/weekly) with Partners and agency
·
Developing and maintaining relationships with operational teams to ensure communication channels remain effective
·
Monitoring and analysing department KPIs to look for trends and opportunities to facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the team
·
Managing Driver requirements such as fuel cards and vehicle keys
·
Ensuring daily communication with Transport, Administration, Warehouse Team
·
Managing day to day running of the Transport office e.g. schedules, conference calls
Essential skills you’ll need
·
Previous Management Experience
·
Leadership skills (Ability to guide and encourage employees to achieve the Business Plans)
Desirable skills you may have
·
Warehouse management experience
·
Knowledge of transport operations & legal compliance
·
Home delivery experience
