Duties & Responsibilities
What's the role about?
We're currently recruiting for an Online Merchandiser to join our eCommerce team on a permanent basis.
As an Online Merchandiser, you'll effectively merchandise products, ensuring that the customer journey and sales conversion is commercially optimised.
Job Requirements
What you'll be doing as an Online Merchandiser?
Key responsibilities would include:
1. Day to day merchandising of sales categories, navigation and search to maximise sales and profit
2. Deliver the merchandising of the category, including executing all relevant promotions on time and reflecting the Waitrose Promotional Plan
3. Deliver optimised onsite product & promotional positioning
4. Commercially leverage content to drive sales
5. Ensure the category is legally compliant
6. Building close and collaborative working relationships across eCommerce and with Commercial
7. Manage the provision of all reporting requirements to stakeholders and provide insight to understand and improve the performance of the category
To succeed in the role, you will be highly numerical and analytical, have retail/commercial experience and be a confident user of excel. You will enjoy building effective relationships to drive performance.
Ideally, you will also have merchandising experience and a solid understanding of online metrics, and knowledge of website analytics tools.

- Proven numeracy and ability to analyse data to provide actionable insights
- Proven ability to influence across functional boundaries
