About the role

We're looking for someone special to join our double award winning User Research & Experimentation team at John Lewis.

At John Lewis we generate heaps of insight through running large scale Experiments and conducting User Research. We want that Insight to provide even more value to the business.

In this role you'll be working with the insight generated by our specialist User Researchers and the outputs of all the experiments we run as an organisation. You'll be joining these two things, alongside other sources (Behavioural Analytics, Desk research etc.) to bring together insights that improve the decisions we make, big and small, as a Digital and Ecommerce team.

You'll have a good level of experience working hands on with both Experimentation and the outputs of user research, you'll be equally confident in a spreadsheet as you are with qualitative insights from a user research session in a digital context. You'll be a strong communicator and up for an exciting challenge to help people make better decisions.

Target salary - up to 60k

Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team aims for up to 1-2 days a week in the office to connect.

Location -  This role is based at our London Head Office campus in Pimlico.

Job Title - This role is known internally as User Research & Experimentation Strategist

Essential skills/experience you’ll need

· 
Strong understanding of data analysis methods, with the ability to extract meaningful insights from qualitative and quantitative data, including a strong grounding in statistics. Comfortable with spreadsheets. 

· 
Strong understanding of large scale AB testing, particularly its strengths and weaknesses as a data source for decision making. 

· 
Strong understanding of user research methods, with experience of using them to improve decision making within digital products and services. 

· 
Experience with working with stakeholders to gather requirements and present findings, demonstrating the ability to influence decision-making in a digital context.

· 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable skills/experience you may have 

· 
Experience with working in an agile environment, contributing to fast-paced digital projects.

· 
Experience with using data visualisation tools to communicate insights effectively.

· 
Experience with working with large datasets, particularly those related to digital customer behaviour and e-commerce activities.

· 
Understanding of CRO principles and methodologies.

· 
Experience with Web Analytics tooling (Adobe / GA / ContentSquare etc.)
