Function: Human Resources
Title: Part-Time Student - Human Resources - Fargo, ND - 60417 

Your Responsibilities

·  Assists HR team members with administrative, technical and operational duties in areas of recruiting and staffing, employee file maintenance, reporting, analysis, employee communication, data entry, and event planning/scheduling
·  Assists with the management and execution of the various student and intern programs
·  Helps to identify, analyze and apply information to support strategic business process/plans
·  Participates in training and in developmental assignments to gain experience
·  Supports and participates in diversity and inclusion initiatives (e.g. training, events and programs) and other HR related initiatives.
·  Assists HR Manager and HR Representative in identifying issues and proposing resolutions 
·  Performs activities according to project plans and schedule 
·  Assists in the scheduling and coordination of HR events
·  Assists with the recruitment and hiring process for student programs
·  Assists with correspondence, room scheduling and setup and greeting of instructors for on-site classes
·  Assist with data collection for GJE reevaluations
·  Performs reporting/data analysis for ad-hoc requests
·  Manages Targeted Selection and new employee files
·  Participates in the support of new employee communications (e.g. first day greeting and instructions)
·  Assist with other HR related tasks as required
·  Ability to do inter-unit travel required between multiple John Deere Fargo locations 

What It Takes

·  Skills in using standard software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
·  Skills in data enter and managing data through various applications
·  Excellent oral and written communication skills
·  Ability to maintain confidentiality
·  High level of attention to detail and accuracy
·  Understanding of various functions within respective business
·  General understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance
·  Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
·  Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
·  Currently pursuing a four-year degree, preferably in the discipline of HR, Business, Marketing, or Communication.
·  Must be able to commute to the work location on a routine basis
·  Graduation date that allows a minimum 12 months in the position.
·  Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
·  Ability to work 16 - 20 hours each week during, when school is in session and up to 40 hours each week when school is not in session, depending on John Deere’s needs

·  Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects
·  Experience with data analysis
·  Experience with event planning
