Internship Amsterdam (Montgomery County) Marketing
Job description
JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group is currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual with relevant hospitality/real estate work experience to join our New York office as an Associate.
Responsibilities:
· Support Hotels & Hospitality team members in securing listings, marketing and closing of real estate transactions.
· Review financial data inputs from P&L statements into valuation models; may also be required to input financial data as needed.
· Apply Uniform System of Accounts for Hotels to raw financial data.
· Independently complete asset valuations using discounted cash flow, income capitalization, leveraged IRR, comparable sales and construction cost techniques.
· Evaluate and apply value enhancement strategies for underwriting purposes under the supervision of senior team members.
· Collect and effectively present qualitative and quantitative information supporting the transaction process.
· Independently prepare presentations, offering materials and miscellaneous reports.
· Review legal documents, agreements, licenses, third-party engineering/environmental reports and miscellaneous documentation relevant to the transaction process.
· Execution of limited client-facing communications on a technical level
· Supervising and reviewing work performed by analysts
Qualifications:
· 3-5 years financial/real estate transaction experience. Hospitality-industry specific work experience highly preferred
· BA/BS degree in Business Finance, Hotel Administration and/or Real Estate Finance
· Strong desire for a career in Real Estate focused exclusively on Hospitality
· Strong record of academic achievement
· Demonstrated quantitative skills
· Hospitality-industry specific work experience, preferred but not required
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work independently while also maintaining rapport with a team
· Ability to work within formal reporting relationships
· Flexibility to work after normal business hours and on weekends as needed
· Strong computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
· Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally
