  Assistant EHS Manager

Integrated Facilities Management

Daily Operations

·  Provide technical support to ensure Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) in industrial operations.
·  Conduct regular site inspections to determine environmental impacts.
·  Perform EHS audits and implement audit recommendations.
·  Work with management in determining EHS requirements and considerations.
·  Develop environmental programs in accordance with local, state and federal environmental regulations.
·  Maintain reports of all environmental, Health & Safety activities as per legal requirements.
·  Educate employees on environmental, health and safety practices.
·  Enforce industry best practices and aid employees when required.
·  Assess potential environmental and H&S risks and provide mitigation plans to reduce incidents.
·  Investigate environmental and H&S incidents and develop corrective action plans.
·  Assist in development of pollution and waste control programs.
·  Evaluate safety of new processes and equipment.
·  Develop sector safety and hygiene policies.
·  Perform inventory management for EHS team.
·  Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and arising in line with the organization, EHS control practices and programs.
·  Arranging, facilitating and tracking of JLL employees EHS trainings
·  Provide timely reporting of statistical information to EHS Site Manager.
·  Tracks EHS Local Regulatory, assess application and communicate implementation to all stakeholders.
·  Conducts Industrial Hygiene Assessment (Air Quality, Illumination, Noise, Heat evaluation, Oxygen deficient environment and monitor all JLL and their sub-contractors’ activities to ensure EHS is in top compliance.
·  Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, conservation and renewable energy according to local requirements and/or Intel standards and help standardize implementation across sites.
·  Drive site team and sub-contractors to achieve Annual Recycle rate.
·  Organize, arrange site environmental audits, line walks (SMBWA) with focus on inspection of chemical cabinets maintain by JLL personnel, storm drain system, waste storage facilities.
·  Preparation & submission of Environmental compliance reports to government.
·  Process review EHS permits and monitor compliance, correct outright high-risk deficiency findings and recommend solutions. 
·  Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Risk Management

·  Assist in the implementation and management of a facility risk management program which identifies major facility risks including  health and safety, fire safety and essential services and environmental. Report any issues or concerns back to Senior Management
·  Assist in the implementation and monitoring of guidelines and strategies to protect environmental, health and safety of staff and others, protect Intel and JLL reputation. Report any issues or concerns back to Senior Management
·  Support the implementation and monitoring of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
·  Follow established escalation procedures and incident reporting procedures  

Leadership / Staff Management:

·  Work in partnership with senior and site management to develop and implement strategies, policies, and services to increase employee safety & reduce organizational Risk
·  Any other duties as and when required by the EHS Manager
·  Refer to the Individual Performance Agreement (JLL My Performance ) for Key Performance Measures.
·  Ensure the KPI Targets for the Account are met.
·  Strong communication skills, customer service skills and proven leadership capabilities.
·  Excellent analytical and judgment skills; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
·  Interpersonal skills with a strong client focus.
·  Time management skills with ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
·  Demonstrate initiative and pro activeness. 
·  Bachelors or Masters’ Degree (preferred) in Environment Engineering, Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering, with emphasis on environmental programs and compliance
·  5-7 years’ experience over multiple production sites in the environmental field.  Experience in managing professional/ technical personnel is preferred.
·  A proven track record in EHS covering manufacturing operations and knowledgeable and proficient in regulatory requirements pertaining to EHS compliance.
·  NEBOSH IGC in Occupational Health and Safety.
·  Knowledge and experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 certification and certified auditor on the same is preferred.
·  Has current local Environmental certification/accreditation i.e. PCO(Pollution Control Officer) depending on the country requirements for an environmental practitioner
·  Knowledge on environmental permitting, compliance and reporting requirements is required.
