We are looking for a Business Admin Apprentice to start immediately at our Warwick Street offices.
About the team
The UK Retail Group advises clients on leasing, acquiring, disposing, developing and investing in retail, restaurant and leisure across the UK.
As part of the Retail Admin team to you’ll deliver an all-inclusive administrative service to our surveyors. You’ll be professional, reliable, enthusiastic, have a ‘can do’ ‘will do’ proactive attitude and conscientious, whilst displaying common sense and flexibility in support the Retail Team.
About the role
This is a 12 to 18 month apprentice role, where you’ll be given lots of support and full training in all aspects of the job role. No previous office experience is essential, but transferable experience is helpful.
It’s important to know that you will be studying towards a highly recognised qualification, Level 3 in Business Administration, as well as gaining experience in all areas of the team’s expertise so you can build your career.
Here’s what you can expect to be doing day-to-day:
· Responding to and re-directing internal/external mail, emails, and processing team expenses
· Scanning, photocopying and collating documents, including department electronic/paper filing
· Inputting and maintaining accurate data to various systems and documents
· Requesting for new starters/leavers to be added/removed from systems
· Raising and monitoring the Retail team’s IT tickets to ensure satisfactory resolution
· Working with the team coordinators on wider work to cover during team absence/sick days when needed
· Assisting with raising and keeping track of fee accruals and invoices
· Seizing opportunities to get involved with projects to help improve the team’s way of working, and potentially even lead your own
This isn’t a complete list and there may be other responsibilities you take on as required. Don’t worry though as we’ll be reasonable, and you’ll be fully supported! We want to help you learn new skills, so if you have the passion to do more then we’ll do our best to help you get there!

· You’ll speaking on the phone and writing emails, so it’s important you have excellent spoken and written communication with high standard of English, including spelling and grammar.
· You are confident in using laptops and Microsoft office programmes like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· You’ll be able to work to multiple deadlines, while producing high quality work
· You approach your work with a positive attitude
· You can work with lots of different people and create good, lasting professional relationships
· You enjoy working at a fast pace and adapting to different challenges, so you’ll bring enthusiasm and energy to your work
· You’ll be sensible and discrete with information to ensure it is kept fully confidential
· You are educated to at least GCSE level, including a good level of English and Mathematics
· You’ll have an understanding and passion to start and build your career in an administration/office role
· Office environment or transferrable experience is helpful, but not essential. You’ll be given full training to succeed in the team.

Application process
We are open to application from all backgrounds, and as this is an apprenticeship anyone without a degree can apply.
Here’s a quick outline of the process:
· Online application – we’ll ask you for some basic details like how to contact etc. Please do attach a CV for us to review as well.
· Recruiter review – our recruitment team will review your application and give you a call to discuss your application and ask questions about why you’ve applied. After the call, you’ll be told if your application will be progressed.
· Face to face interview – if successful at review, you’ll be invited to meet with the team at our London Warwick Street office. This will be for roughly 1hr 30mins. During this time, you’ll have a one-hour interview to talk through your strengths and potential for the role, and also meet with one of the team informally to ask any questions and get a feel for who you’ll be working with.
· Outcome – You will have done your best and hopefully impressed us, then we’ll let you know if you will be offered the role.
