Customer Fulfilment (CFF) plays a fundamental role within Retail in achieving the IKEA goal of becoming a Omnichannel retailer. Customer Fulfilment acts as a fully integrated function, with an end-to-end approach to develop our business, having customers’ needs at heart. We are focusing on contributing to a seamless shopping experience for the many people with great quality across all touchpoints.
The Fulfilment Development & Multichannel Network function within CFF is taking the lead and overall responsibility for the design, implementation and development of the Omnichannel network (OCN).
One of the streams within Fulfilment Development & Multichannel Network implementation – projects for Stores with fulfilment capabilities (SwFC), an initiative under the umbrella of job#6 - Create the IKEA store of tomorrow. By doing this, we are changing the way we look at IKEA stores and we are developing new and exciting ways of supporting our customers.
Your responsibilities
You are passionate about leading business through people and have a strong belief in the individuals ‘potential. Being customer oriented you see the customer first and consider the impact on the customer when developing our business and taking strategic, tactical and operational decisions. Naturally you share the IKEA vision, values and culture.
For this role you have university degree in Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or proven performance in supply chain management and logistics. You bring 2-4 years working experience in a leadership position, preferable in retail logistics, distribution, project management or similar. You also bring with you proven successful leadership in delivering both business result and people development in a project environment. You have proven experience in securing the implementation of mid-term and long-term strategies and plans when successfully lead projects or processes on market/national or global level.
You have knowledge in following areas:
• Excellent knowledge in project management processes, including different methodologies and tools
• Successfully lead projects or processes on country/market/national level
• Good business understanding and excellent knowledge of Omnichannel Network related IKEA processes, supply chain, store operations, warehousing operations and service business leading to an overall excellent customer fulfilment experience
• Excellent understanding of the customer and co-worker needs, demands and expectations on the markets
• Change and stakeholder management: knowledge of how to identify and involve relevant stakeholders in a project, process or question to make things happen
• Financial competence: knowledge about how internal and external financials impact the business of IKEA and an understanding of how to communicate this financial impact to different target groups; applying financial knowledge to achieve
• Good knowledge of relevant IT systems/solutions/tools, calculation methods and analysis within the function
• Good presentation skills to transmit the messages with clarity and engage the stakeholders
• Fluent in English
As a person you have good collaborative mind-set in building relationships across the organisation and having influence and personal impact by using good communication and negotiation skills. You have an end-to-end orientation and the ability to act within the global framework in order to achieve local/market/organisation goals. Your analytical capability to enable translation of business and customer needs into development initiatives is strong. You naturally identify needs and drive change within the organisation acting in multi-cultural, interdependent and matrix environments.
About this work area
The purpose of the role is to manage the assigned Omnichannel projects, lead the connected project team on behalf of CFF Germany and by that securing an efficient and effective Omnichannel network on the market.
Omnichannel projects includes:
• Development of the existing fulfilment units
• The establishment of new fulfilment units
• Implementation of various improvement projects
• Supporting the design of the omnichannel network for the area/market
• Efficiency and continuous improvement
In this role you will in defined markets, together with the group Multichannel Network function, take accountability and/or responsibility for the development and implementation of the global Omnichannel Network agenda.
You will be:
• Responsible for the project implementation based on the Omnichannel Network Roadmap in the market
• Responsible for organising communication and reporting of progress on solution & layout towards all relevant stakeholders through all stages of the multichannel network project(s), following INGKA Expansion process
• Responsible for preparing the investment request connected to Customer Fulfilment investments and the investment budget on the market level
• Responsible for creating synergies by enabling common ways of working within the different fulfilment network related projects and make efficient use of common resources within customer fulfilment in the market and globally
• Responsible for the cooperation with key stakeholders on the local, country and global levels while contributing with both knowledge and resources to optimal operational and multichannel development, sourcing activities as well as to all matrixes, global and market initiatives and competence networks
• Responsible to lead, coach and develop the Project Team in the market, maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with the group functions, and secure an inspiring and motivating environment where people and talent are continuously developed
• Contributing to the development of tools, processes and ways of working in co-creation with the group function and take responsibility for the market implementation of globally developed tools, processes and ways of working
In this role you will report to the Fulfilment Project Implementation Manager.
