Who you are

Please note that this is an non-paid academic internship for students looking to complete the Program requirements. The internship will start in February for a minimum of 12 weeks period.

As our new team member for the next months, you will integrate the Marketing Communication department for IKEA Belgium & Luxembourg. You :

- Have knowledge in marketing and communication (from school or experiences).
- Are a daily user of social media (and who understands how it works; do you know the difference between paid & organic? How much time do you spend per day on TikTok?).
- Are happy and curious to learn with a team around you.
- You manage to work with Office Suite and Sharepoint (yep… we’re Mircrosoft users ).
- Can work alone to manage mini campaigns by yourself (planification, organization are some of your qualities).
- Speak English and French or Dutch.
- Know how to keep a secret (not how to change wood into gold, but about future projects, budgets etc).

Your responsibilities

To enjoy your days with us, here are the most important things we would like you to learn to do:

- You’re a constant support to the team and learn from different projects (from social media to TV campaign).
- With our agency, you will work on the creation of several social medias posts.
- You will test your copywriting skills by preparing he scripts for the radio spots broadcasted in all Belgian stores.
- You are going to create newsletters for our customers (from briefing to follow-up).
- You will participate to research around top topical subjects and lifestyle trends.
- You won’t answer the phone calls but you will be every day in contact with our marketing agencies and several colleagues from marketing as CRM, media and SEO/Web team.

Our team is the voice of IKEA. We use words, pictures and videos to tell the story about IKEA, to build our brand and inspire people with our offer. We bounce ideas back and forth, we challenge each other and we are crazy passionate about communication. Of course we’re also the ones who make sure to keep all our fellow co-workers informed, engaged and connected in a constantly changing business environment.
