As a result we have a rare opportunity for a Public Area Attendant to join the team on island for this exciting journey!

Your day to day

Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Hayman Village the Housekeeping Attendant within Hayman Village plays a key role that combines an engaging and compelling career offer with a contemporary and attractive residential experience.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to exceed expectations of both internal and external guests and ensure the highest level of service is consistently provided.

Teamwork will be fundamental to your success as you provide warm and personalised service to the resorts colleagues across the Hayman Village residential accommodation. Your focus will be on maintaining public areas in the Colleague Village and to support Hayman Village Operations team with cleaning rooms as required to ensure the smooth flow of arrivals and departures, and delivering a stand out ongoing residential experience. With your day to day including but not limited to the below;

·  Maintain cleanliness and appearance of public areas in the village, including laundries, common spaces, public toilets and back of-house areas.
·  Reporting of maintenance issues.
·  Maintaining familiarity with housekeeping cleaning procedures, par stocks.
·  Assist in other duties across the Hayman Village from time to time as needed.
·  Assisting Room Attendants, Hayman Village with the cleaning of rooms, including deep cleaning and servicing.
What we need from you

With 1 – 2 years of experience within a housekeeping environment, ideally in a hotel or resort, as the ideal candidate, you will have good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards. You will need to be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and able to carry, push or lift heavy objects such as linen, beds, bed sheets and vacuum cleaners, and be able to frequently stand up and move about the Hayman Village grounds.

 

Knowledge of safe working habits, chemical handling and hotel operations is desirable.

You will also have the flexibility to work a rotating roster including, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.  Australian work rights is also a must.
