Role: Warehouse Team Leader
Hours: AM 0600-1400
Salary: £14.73 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Job Description
To oversee the day-to-day efficient receipt, storage and despatch of raw materials and finished products across our on-site facility.
· Organising and leading a team for the relevant shift pattern. Manage time, attendance and train/development of team members
· Communicate with team on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets and operational requirements
· Ensure comprehensive handovers are given to the following shift
· Ensure the delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production schedules/WMS system signals
· Manage the relationship with internal functions (Production/Technical/Supply Chain) as required to ensure a smooth operation across the business
· Liaise with suppliers and transport companies as and when required in a timely way
· Ensure inventories are accurate. Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately and stock managed correctly in rotation. Support organising and participate in stock takes at regular intervals
· Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change
· Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse. Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level
· Ensure staff comply to health, safely and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment. Complete regular risk assessments and contribute to near miss reporting to drive standards
· Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to with no outstanding GMP issues
· Ensure that vehicles, machinery and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose
· Maintain high standards of security in the warehouse
· Support to Assistant Warehouse Manager as and when required
Essential:
· Counterbalance and/or FLT licence
· H&S aware
· People focused
· Structured, logical and organised
· Experience of WMS and best practice
Desirable:
· Warehouse experience in food manufacturing
