Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our e-commerce engineering team and help build, maintain, and improve our microservices, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with senior engineers to support scalable, reliable systems across AWS and other cloud platforms. This is a hands-on role where you will gain practical experience with microservice programming, infrastructure as code, CI/CD automation, and observability tooling in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

·  Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, following best practices for security, reliability, and cost management
·  Write and maintain infrastructure as code using Python and TypeScript
·  Build, improve, and monitor CI/CD pipelines to support fast, safe software delivery
·  Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system observability
·  Contribute to documentation for infrastructure, runbooks, and operational procedures

Experience

·  Detailed knowledge with the core python programming language
·  Understanding of microservice patterns
·  Understanding of git version control
·  Good team working skills

Desirable

·  Experience with AWS and AWS CDK
·  Familiarity with Docker
·  Familiarity with Agile Development principles
·  Familiarity with Microservice Development
