Job description

We have two openings for an EUC Engineer to join our wonderful IT Department. 

The EUC Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing the end-user computing environment, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, and security compliance. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions that enhance the productivity and security of end-user devices and applications, while also supporting release management and vulnerability remediation processes.  Please note, there is a requirement to be on call every other week. This is paid on-call on top of the salary.

Key Responsibilities

·  Device Management : Configure, deploy, and manage devices using Microsoft Intune / JamF, ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Responsible for administering devices across multiple OS platforms: Windows 10/11, Android, MacOS, iOS.
·  Microsoft 365 Administration : Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
·  Application Management : Oversee the lifecycle of end-user devices and applications, including provisioning, updates, and decommissioning. 
·  Security and Compliance : Implement and monitor security policies and compliance standards across all end-user devices and applications. Conduct regular vulnerability scans and manage remediation efforts.
·  Release Management : Plan, coordinate, and oversee the release of software products and updates into production environments.
·  User Support and Training : Provide 3 rd  Line technical support and training to end-users to ensure efficient use of Intune and Microsoft 365 services. Act as a single point of contact for 3rd Line escalations, resolving incidents and service requests.
·  Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate reports on device compliance, usage, security incidents, and release metrics.
·  Collaboration : Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of end-user computing solutions. Communicate identified vulnerabilities and remediation strategies to stakeholders.
·  Automation and Graph API : Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to streamline processes using tools such as PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API. Leverage Graph API to automate tasks related to Microsoft 365 services and enhance operational efficiency.
·  Windows Imaging : Create, maintain, and deploy Windows images for end-user devices. Ensure images are up-to-date with the latest patches, drivers, and software. Troubleshoot and resolve imaging-related issues to ensure smooth deployment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

·  Technical Expertise : In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, MacOS, IOS, Android, and mobile device management (MDM) solutions. Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools, and automation using PowerShell and Graph API.
·  Experience : Proven experience in managing and supporting end-user computing environments, preferably in a large enterprise setting. Experience with release management and vulnerability remediation.
·  Certifications : Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or similar.
·  Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
·  Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
·  Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
·  End-User Focus : Strong understanding of end-user needs and the ability to design and implement solutions that enhance user experience and productivity. Commitment to providing high-quality support and training to end-users.

Preferred Qualifications

·  Project Management : Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
·  Automation Skills : Familiarity with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Graph API.
·  Continuous Improvement : Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
·  Security Knowledge : Understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, NIST).
