We are on the lookout for a seasoned hospitality professional to lead our bustling Jackalberry Bar & Restaurant as our new Venue Manager
As Australia's largest premium hotel, the hotel boasts 878 guestrooms, multiple dining experiences and event spaces. The hotel offers more than 3,700sq m of sleek meeting and event space in the heart of the city featuring two spacious ballrooms with views of Darling Harbour and 22 additional meeting rooms.

The Role
Jackalberry Bar allows people to disappear from the bustling urban jungle and explore a menu of globally inspired dishes, drinks and decor – an idyllic hideaway for wanderers seeking respite.
Our new Jackalberry Venue Manager will possess a demonstrated history in managing teams in a fast-paced restaurant and bar environment. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the Jackalberry outlet. We expect to see active contributions to driving the business forward, with focus on maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction, development and retention of team members and maximizing profitability.
Responsibilities Include:

Ensuring the standards of service are followed, executed and align with the venue concept

Monitor and receiving feedback and employing corrective actions to increase and maintain guest satisfaction scores
·
Manage the initial and ongoing training and development of all team members
·
Coordinating cleaning and maintenance schedules and enforcing strict standards surrounding HACCP
·
Liaising with the hotel's sales and marketing teams to identify strategies to promote the outlets.
·
Forecasting outlet revenue for each month & quarterly outlook to meet revenue targets
·
Formulating and strictly adhering to the par stocks
·
Adhering to the established operating expenses and ensuring all costs are controlled
Our Ideal Candidate will Possess
·
At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
·
Demonstrated management experience in Bar Operations
·
Strategic, proactive and resourceful approach for generating revenue
·
Proven leadership qualities and the ability to support and motivate the team
·
Strong organisational and time management skills
·
Solution focused, with the ability to effectively problem solve
·
Full Australian Working Rights
·
Availability across 7 days and willing to work a rotating roster
·
A current Responsible Service of Alcohol card
