Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono is seeking a welcoming, organized, and service-oriented Restaurant Reservations / Hostess to join our Food & Beverage team and create exceptional first impressions and memorable dining experiences in a luxury hospitality environment.

As a Restaurant Reservations / Hostess, you will play an essential role in delivering a seamless guest journey, from the initial restaurant reservation to the moment guests are warmly welcomed and seated. You will be responsible for managing restaurant reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring personalized and attentive service in accordance with Park Hyatt standards.

You will work closely with restaurant managers, service teams, and other hotel departments to ensure efficient reservation management, smooth restaurant operations, and exceptional guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage restaurant reservations through telephone, email, and reservation management systems, ensuring accuracy and timely responses.
· Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and provide a professional, personalized, and memorable first impression.
· Coordinate seating arrangements and table allocations to optimize restaurant capacity while ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction.
· Maintain accurate reservation records, including guest preferences, special occasions, dietary requirements, and other relevant information.
· Respond professionally to guest inquiries regarding restaurant availability, menus, operating hours, and dining experiences.
· Handle reservation modifications, cancellations, waiting lists, and special requests efficiently.
· Communicate effectively with restaurant managers and service teams regarding reservations, VIP guests, special occasions, and operational requirements.
· Escort guests to their tables and ensure a smooth transition to the restaurant service team.
· Assist with managing restaurant guest flow during busy service periods while maintaining a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
· Support the coordination of group reservations, special dining arrangements, and celebrations.
· Maintain excellent knowledge of the hotel's restaurants, menus, promotions, and available dining experiences.
· Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally, escalating matters to management when necessary.
· Ensure reservation and guest information is handled accurately and confidentially in accordance with hotel policies.
· Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of reception and hostess areas.
· Work collaboratively with Food & Beverage colleagues, Front Office, Concierge, and other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
· Follow Park Hyatt service standards, operational procedures, and health and safety requirements.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

·  Previous experience in restaurant reservations, hostess duties, guest relations, Front Office, or Food & Beverage service is preferred.
·  Experience in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or international hospitality environment is an advantage.
·  A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
·  Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
·  A warm, welcoming, and professional personality with strong attention to detail.
·  Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage reservations and guest requests efficiently.
·  Good computer literacy and the ability to use restaurant reservation systems and Microsoft Office applications.
·  Ability to remain calm, composed, and professional during busy service periods.
·  Strong teamwork skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with different departments.
·  Japanese language proficiency is preferred but not mandatory.
·  Ability to communicate effectively in English is preferred.
·  Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
·  A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to maintaining exceptional service standards.
