Summary

The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for checking in all incoming products and guest packages. This person is also responsible for shipping guest packages and in house needs. This person must be able to lift a moderate weight and must have good communication skills.
Proactively support for sourcing of required goods (Food and Non Food) and services, implementing strategic actions to optimize the procurement activities. Assist the Finance and Operational Departments in monitoring, reporting and controlling expenses and inventories. Daily relationship with Accounts Payable and hotel management such as F&B manager and Head Chef.

Responsibilities for Purchasing Clerk

·  Issue purchase orders to suppliers, distributors and manufacturers
·  Ensure that orders received are accurate
·  Ensure goods received are not damaged
·  Handle goods throughout the purchasing process
·  Work closely with relevant departments to ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company
·  Keep accurate records of purchases made
·  High school diploma/GED required
·  At list 1 year experience working as a purchasing assistant in the industry is preferred
·  Good understanding of popular products in the industry
·  Strong knowledge of industry market trends and conditions
·  Excellent interpersonal and social skills
·  Good verbal and written communication skills
·  Positive and professional demeanor
·  Flexible Schedule
·  Able to lift, carry and move a minimum of 25lbs
