Located at the heart of Darling Harbour, Hyatt Regency Sydney is the largest upscale full-service hotel in Australia with a total of 878 rooms. The hotel features a Fitness Centre, 272 seat all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop bar with panoramic views of Darling Harbour and 3,700 square meters of new state-of-the-art meeting facilities. The hotel offers various kitchens that complement our multiple outlets including Banquets, In-Room Dining, Restaurant and Pastry. Our production team is capable of catering to over 3000 covers per day in a variety of events with a variety of cuisines!

The Role:

This hands on role, will see you coordinating the purchasing requirements for our Hotel. You will work closely with a range of departments within the hotel as well as suppliers to ensure costs are effectively managed while our service standards are maintained.

Your effective communication skills along with your ability to effectively manage your time will see you succeed in this fast paced role.

You will lead a team of 5 who can work over a 7 day rotating roster, so strong leadership skills are also essential in this role.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

· Experience in a similar role - within a Hospitality environment advantageous

· Proven leadership qualities and the ability to support and motivate the team

· Strong stakeholder relationship management – both internal and external

· Strategic, proactive and resourceful

· An eye for detail and accuracy

· Experience with BirchStreet software systems – strongly preferred

· HACCP certified - preferred
