Job description

The intern will support a complex Hyatt Information Technology (IT) environment, ensuring seamless operations across property systems, including maintaining hardware/software, troubleshooting end-user issues, configuring systems, and managing IT inventory, and supporting hotel-specific applications. This role is designed for motivated IT students who are seeking hands-on experience in networking, systems administration, and helpdesk support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Technical Support: Assist staff with hardware/software configuration, deployment, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with the implementation of new technologies, and provide training and support to staff.
· System Maintenance: software patches deployment, system upgrades, hardware maintenance, and network configurations.
· IT Projects: support key IT projects, including collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
· Inventory & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT hardware, software licenses, and peripheral devices.
· User Support & Administration: Provide support to efficiently resolve IT issues in-person or remotely, including administration of key hospitality software platforms.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

·  Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
·  Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of operating systems, networking fundamentals, PC/laptop hardware configurations, and telephone system support and maintenance.
·  Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and excellent customer service and communication skills.
·  Knowledge of incident management systems, remote support tools, and/or property management and point of sale systems, will be an added advantage.
