Job description

· Lead kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
· Develop and implement creative, seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to the preferences of a diverse clientele.
· Manage and mentor the kitchen team, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure a high-performance environment.
· Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards in accordance with Kuwait municipality regulations.
· Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance, ensuring all equipment is fully operational, properly maintained, and adheres to safety guidelines.
· Ensure that all food products used in the kitchen are fresh, correctly stored, and not expired.
· Maintain strict compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring that all kitchen activities follow local health regulations.
· Oversee food purchasing, inventory management, and control of food costs to ensure profitability.
· Handle department paperwork related to scheduling, public holidays (PH), overtime, and absence, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
· Collaborate with management and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and a superior guest experience.
· Manage kitchen scheduling, workflow, and task delegation to ensure smooth operations during peak and non-peak hours.
· Adapt and innovate according to customer feedback and business needs, implementing improvements where necessary.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
· Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or resort environment.
· Strong knowledge of various culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse kitchen team.
· Creative flair in menu development and presentation, with a focus on quality and innovation.
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a busy kitchen effectively.
· Proficiency in managing kitchen equipment and ensuring maintenance and compliance with safety standards.
· Ability to maintain high levels of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety at all times.
· A diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred.
· Proficiency in both English and Arabic is highly desirable.
· Experience in managing large-scale kitchen operations and catering to a diverse clientele.
· Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards during peak service times.
· Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing kitchen budgets, food costs, and waste reduction.
