Group Sales Manager
Job Summary:
The Group Sales Manager at Andaz Prague is responsible for driving group sales, managing relationships with key accounts, and exceeding revenue goals through strategic planning and execution. This role focuses on targeting and securing group bookings, events, and conferences while delivering an exceptional guest experience aligned with the Andaz brand´s luxury and lifestyle standards.
The Group Sales Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, other departments, and external partners to develop and execute group sales strategies that align with the hotel´s positioning and revenue objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation
· Develop and implement comprehensive group sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) sector, corporate groups and social events.
· Manage existing accounts and nurture client relationships to encourage repeat business.
· Conduct Market analysis and competitor research to maintain competitive edge and proactively adjust strategies.
2) Account Management & Client Relationship
· Build and maintain strong relationship with key clients, event planners and corporate contacts.
· Act as primary point of contact for group clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
· Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and customize offerings to meet their needs.
· Regularly engage with key accounts to maximize repeat bookings and foster long-term loyalty.
3) Event Planning & Coordination
· Collaborate with the events and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and events.
· Ensure that all client expectations are communicated across departments, resulting in an exceptional guest experience.
· Oversee on-site group events as required, maintaining close communication with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
4) Financial Planning & Budget Management
· Develop and manage budgets for group sales activities, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
· Prepare revenue forecasts, track performance against sales goals, and analyze sales data to inform future strategies.
· Negotiate pricing and contract terms with clients while maximizing revenue for the hotel.
5) Marketing & Brand Posting
· Work with the marketing team to create tailored promotional materials for group sales, supporting brand alignment and visibility.
· Represent Andaz Prague at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to build awareness and attract group business.
· Collaborate on marketing and digital strategies to drive group bookings, aligning with the Andaz brand´s positioning.
6) Team Leadership & Development
· Mentor Junior sales team members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
· Lead by example, fostering a positive team environment and setting high standards of professionalism.
· Ensure consistent communication within the sales team, encouraging knowledge-sharing and collaborative problem-solving.
What we need from you
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel group sales, with a proven track record of exceeding sales target.
· Bachelor´s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related equivalent field (or equivalent experience)
· Strong understanding of the luxury hospitality market and experience in working high profile clients.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, with a focus on the MICE market
· Proficiency in sales and CRM software, as well as MS Office Suite
· Fluency in English and Czech required, knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
