Your role

As our Front Office Intern , you'll join the team at the heart of The Standard, Brussels, gaining hands-on experience across Front Office and Guest Experience operations. Working alongside our experienced team, you'll discover what it takes to deliver exceptional hospitality in a vibrant lifestyle hotel.

You'll support daily Front Office operations, from welcoming guests and assisting with check-ins and check-outs to handling guest enquiries, billing, telephone calls and luggage requests. You'll also help guests discover our hotel facilities, respond to special requests and ensure every interaction reflects our 'Anything but Standard' approach to hospitality.

You'll gain experience using our hotel systems, coordinating guest requests and working closely with Housekeeping, Engineering and other departments to ensure a seamless guest journey. Along the way, you'll develop the confidence, communication skills and attention to detail that make great hospitality feel effortless.

Previous Front Office experience is welcome but isn't essential. We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for hospitality, a positive attitude and an appetite to learn. Your individuality, energy and ability to connect with people are just as important as your academic background.

In addition, the ideal candidate will be anything but standard…

·  Be studying Hospitality Management, Tourism or a related discipline, ideally seeking an internship as part of their academic programme
·  Have a genuine interest in Front Office operations, guest relations and lifestyle hospitality
·  Be naturally warm, confident and comfortable engaging with guests from all walks of life
·  Bring energy, creativity, curiosity and a proactive, hands-on approach
·  Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine desire to create memorable guest experiences
·  Have good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining calm under pressure
·  Be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and eager to learn hotel systems and guest service technology
·  Be a team player who's adaptable, reliable and enjoys collaborating with colleagues across different departments
·  Have an interest in lifestyle hospitality, music, art, culture and Brussels' vibrant social scene
·  Have a good working knowledge of French and English ; additional languages are a plus
·  Be flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, in line with the agreed internship programme
