Finance Intern

Job description

The Finance Intern will provide support to Hyatt Hotels' Europe, Africa, Middle East and Southwest Asia (EAME-SWA) Hotel Financial Planning & Analysis team, Executive Leadership and other key departments by performing analysis on existing hotels' financial performance, and providing support on special projects and administrative tasks.

Your main duties will be:

· Assist with ad-hoc analysis by utilizing Excel and Hyperion Smartview Essbase and other supporting tools
· Analysing comparable operating data, inputting historical market performance and running KPI benchmarking comparisons, as well as tracking profitability initiatives
· Provide administrative support to team with data validations, preparation of analysis reports, presentations, monthly reporting packages and training/procedural communications
· Contribute to the overall team's efficiency or knowledge base
· Participate in side projects that improve hotel profitability
· Attending meetings with other departments, developing new databases or models, and launching them to the team
Please note that this is a limited six-month internship compensated according to the Swiss Collective Agreement of the Swiss Hotel Industry.

Qualifications :

You are:

·  Hospitality or Business degree graduate or near completion
·  Fluent in English – spoken and written
·  able to get working permission in Switzerland
·  hotel operation experience is a plus, as well as foreign language skills, advanced excel and proficient Powerpoint, Microsoft Word and Adobe knowledge
