We have an exciting opportunity for an Event Planning Executive to join our team from January 2025.
Located adjacent to Darling Harbour in Sydney's Central Business District. Hyatt Regency Sydney is a haven of relaxation for the business or leisure traveler. The Role:
As an Event Planning Executive, you will be responsible for the coordination of meetings, incentives (with accommodation groups) and social events. Following confirmation of business by the Sales team, the planning, implementation and execution of the event is handed over to you. You will support and guide our clients from arrival to departure, including the final settlement of account. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual with prior event planning experience, who is passionate about building relationships with clients and understanding their needs.
Responsibilities Include:
· Handling all enquiries with a professional manner, demonstrating a high level of care and customer service for events up to 250 delegates
· To actively convert catering only enquiries into a confirmed catering event, demonstrating confidence through call control and upselling
· Managing the day to day administration of events, including sending out of proposals within 24 hours, preparation of BEOs and settlement of final accounts.
· Developing and fostering future and repeat business opportunities
· Attending internal and interdepartmental meetings as required
· Working closely and collaboratively with key departments across the Hotel including the Sales, Events Service, Revenue & Group Reservations, Engineering and Culinary
Our Ideal Candidate will possess:
· Prior experience at a similar level in a Hotel or hospitality venue
· Excellent organisational and time management skills
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
· Pride in personal presentation and grooming
· The drive to develop a career within the Event Planning industry
· Full Australian working rights and the availability to work full-time onsite Monday to Friday
