Job description

*We are currently undergoing a strategic transition: our hotel will move from operating under the Dream Hotels brand to becoming part of Bunkhouse Hotels . This change reflects our commitment to delivering a unique and authentic experience for our guests.*

Bunkhouse Valle de Guadalupe is a luxury lifestyle resort located in the heart of Mexico wine country. Spanning over 1 km, the resort has well-appointed guestrooms and suites, feature restaurant with roof terrace, pool, and over 50,000 sqm of vineyards with a proprietary wine brand.

Responsible for coordinating, planning, supervising and ensuring that all activities in the Food and Beverage area are carried out according to the hotel's standards, as well as to achieve the objectives set by General Management, the Company and Owners.

The role requires a balanced understanding of key local, regional and international secondary markets and leveraging your extensive network. They work with the general manager and corporate teams to strategically plan and set objectives to create business opportunities and keep the hotel's consumer centers up to date.

The role includes goal setting, employee development and retention, overhead control, and resolution of guest issues in accordance with company objectives.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

· 
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management preferred.

· 
Certified Sommelier, with advanced knowledge of wine production and winemaking techniques, wine varietals and regional characteristics, and familiarity with wine laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

· 
Experience in setting up and managing a wine cellar.

· 
Five or more years of related and progressive wine experience in luxury restaurant and hotel environments, with two years at a Manager level in a similar setting.

· 
Prior “Lifestyle” hotel brand experience strongly preferred.

· 
Experience working as a Sommelier in Mexico, with knowledge of operating an internationally branded hotel as it relates to hotel operations, finances, employee & safety compliance, applicability of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) to guest and personnel matters.

· 
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of local, regional, and global wine trends.

· 
Experience working in the Valle de Guadalupe region or a familiarity with the region is a plus.

· 
Experience in setting up a new wine brand or wine program is preferred.

· 
Must speak English and Spanish; additional languages proficiency a plus.

· 
Ability to effectively and confidently present financials, strategies, and other presentations in both oral and written form to all concerned stakeholders.

· 
Business acumen and forward-thinking approach to analyzing business opportunities, proposing cost-management initiatives and efficiencies, short and long-term goal planning, budgeting, forecasting, business planning and profit and loss analytics.

· 
Possess a lead-from-the-front mentality, constantly staying engaged with their team, serving as ambassador to the property as well as the Bunkhouse and Hyatt brand.

· 
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with: Ownership; Corporate; hotel's management, employees, clients, and vendors; and the community.

· 
Ability to communicate effectively and calmly handle challenges in the workplace, proposing corrective solutions when identifying challenges.

· 
Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and confidently present financials and other presentations in both oral and written form.

· 
Ability to work flexible schedules and be present as required by business demand levels.

· 
Knowledgeable in current health and safety guidelines related to COVID-19 response management.

· 
Proficient in computer systems including Microsoft Suite, and commonly used hospitality systems including: POS, purchasing/inventory platforms.

· 
Legal authorization to work in Mexico.

· 
Knowledgeable with all Mexico applicable regulations and legislation, including Health, Safety & Hygiene, employment legislation and financial reporting.
