Job description
The Director of Finance will be responsible for efficiently leading the hotel's Finance Division in alignment with Hyatt International's global corporate strategies and brand standards, while meeting the expectations of employees, guests, and ownership.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Finance & Accounting Department, maintaining high standards of financial management, accuracy, and transparency. This position requires strategic vision, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement of financial and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all financial operations of the hotel, including accounting, budgeting, internal audits, and tax compliance.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, local regulations, and international financial standards.
• Collaborate with other operational departments to optimize resources and improve profitability.
• Lead the finance team, fostering professional development and a collaborative work environment.
• Represent the department in meetings with ownership, external auditors, and tax authorities.

Qualifications :
We are seeking a highly qualified professional with a strong academic background and proven experience in financial management within the hospitality or tourism sector.
Required Qualifications
• University degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or Tourism.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience as Director of Finance or equivalent senior financial management role Corporate Controller or Finance Manager within an international hospitality brand.
• Advanced proficiency in applying the latest edition of the USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry), coupled with demonstrable experience in preparing and submitting financial reporting packages aligned with global corporate quarterly guidelines..
• Up-to-date knowledge of Mexican tax regulations and international accounting standards.
• Experience in rigorous internal and external audits under global corporate standards, including working with interconnected corporate accounting and Business Intelligence platforms.
• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) is essential for corporate communication and international audits.
